Authentic Chinese Restaurants?

One of our members were frustrated with having to go to New York to get authentic Chinese food – although isn’t that Aberdeen (in White Plains) good?!
So our members got together and recommended nearby Chinese Restaurants that will make you think you’re in Chinatown in NYC (well, not really, but you can use your imagination….)

The one that got the highest recommendation was Lao Sze Chuan, 1585 Boston Post Road in Milford - authentic and great spicy Chinese food, highly recommended as the closest alternative to Chinese food from Flushing
In Greenwich, the reviews were between Panda Pavillion at 420 W. Putnam and Hunan Gourmet at 68 E. Putnam with Hunan boasting good and reliable food although Panda having better entrees but not-as-good appetizers.
In Darien, there is Matsuri at 390 Post Road that is Japanese/Sushi and they deliver as well as The Wild Ginger Dumpling House located at 971 Post Road Darien

Stamford has a few more options including:

Pearl East, 2720 Summer St,  - has a selection of traditional Chinese dishes, good and reliable place.  More of an Americanized-Chinese Place
–First Wok, 492 Glenbrooke Road   (203) 961-8755   - good for takeout
–Panda Restaurant, 1019 Hope Street  (203) 327-3721   - good for takeout
and another member loves Ching’s Table, 64 Main Street in New Canaan.  While the food is not typical Chinese, more pan-asian, but very tasty.  Food doesn’t ‘take-out’ well.  Service can be a hit-or-miss.
